Reading the replies on this is unfathomably insane. We've entered the revisionist history era for the bot crisis, and it took what, a year? For people to give it a pass or say "it wasn't that bad.". If any other game went through what TF2 did, for as long, those developers would.

Seriously, it's insane how much the overton window has shifted. Not 3 years ago could you address casual mode's miserable functionality without getting attacked and being labeled as entitled.

It's insane how long of an uphill battle this has been. It took years to nudge the discourse away from "casual mode is fine, stop complaining, you're just being entitled" to "okay yeah Valve should do something.". Good timing on Valve's part, breaking the matchmaking system last.

Today, I streamed TF2 for around two hours. 1 hour and 11 minutes was spent queuing, and 54 minutes playing. How on earth is this acceptable? . This was never a problem before meet your match, back when we had quickplay, but now we're just dealing with this after every update.

Same shit with the payment processors and friction with adult content. Where does THAT stop? I don't want two companies making whatever they dislike functionally illegal without law by not processing payments for it, so it dies off.
