I have always been slightly bored by the normal pixel art style that uses stiff sprite cutouts (especially when they don't fit with the pixel grid), and this makes me realize why
Splatoon 3 should have made its splatfests into a tournament-like format: the team in last place gets eliminated in halftime, then those players get to choose another team.
It'd be dramatic, and it would fix some issues. Plus, 1v1v1 feels strangely impersonal compared to 1v1

I've thought SO long about why Splatoon 3 has the map design that it does and why the devs are content with it. It so clearly cuts off entire weapon classes and strategies as if the game wasn't lovingly built around them. It baffles my mind
My GOTY is RE4. Never played the original. Whole experience felt like a rail shooter but in only the best ways (and I had this thought before I got to the mine.) That's a rare compliment for games of this era. Thank goodness Steam input is a thing so I could use motion controls

Splatoon 4 should allow you to make your own kits, but each part of the kit should add to its overall cost which cannot exceed a certain amount; they could assign costs to sub weapons, specials, and even main weapons. It's a way of balancing that sort of welcomes total imbalance
So the old Fortnite map with building and without the distracting roguelike pop-ups and NPC's and general power-creep actually IS almost as fun as I remember. It's strange because I see Fortnite as a game that NEVER looks back, no matter what.
The reaction to Lethal Company has been crazy. Makes me want to go into a mad rush to get more updates out or fix all the bugs, but I know better. Gotta sleep
I love the new Fortnite map which feels made for the old-fashioned spy thriller/conspiracy theme, because it dawned on me as I explored. As opposed to an average map being littered with distracting buildings and mechanics that beat me over the head with a theme (Cough, Ch.2 S2)

The game actually used to have HRTF (using Steam Audio), but it cut the performance in half, so I eventually took it out. Now it just uses Unity's default reverb filter globally. Some audios have their own reverb filters attached, and I set their 'dry level' based on distance

still has said nothing after presenting their vague, threatening policy (which puts all Unity games from the past on the hook) and betrayal of their old terms. The precedent is clear

Wait what, no, I'm talking about the randomly generated moon in my game, not the temperature outside. It's literally called "Ouu-59" and it "just dropped" cause it's new. lol
Just when I'm ready to stop thinking about it, I'm reminded the maps originally were fleshed out (and we have video!!), then hastily changed a year before development. It's just the sense that we lost about 9 maps that could have been the most complete and unique in the series
We'll never know, but I'm giving the devs the benefit of the doubt and assuming it's not their choice, because it's clearly at odds with the rest of the game's design and the way Splatoon 3 has fully matured in every other aspect. I don't think they hate OG Hammerhead and Mahi.

...This can simulate something echoing from afar, but I don't think it's very noticeable. Also I simply up the "spread" on most audios so they come into both ears. Here's a video of back when the game had actual HRTF
Once they do custom kits, the designers hand over their complete control of the experience, and there's no going back. But I really can't see a future Splatoon not doing something like this. S3 is as balanced as the game is probably ever going to be, so it's time to break it
Because of this and their fear of adding in weapons or specials that are good enough to make any difference, I've found Splatoon 3 the most disappointing despite being the best, and I think I've played it a little too long

Maybe, but I'm curious why you'd want that, since there are unofficial youtube uploads already. As for Spotify, I'd rather not go through the process of getting my music on there. If you'd like a lossless file format, well the samples used in these tracks aren't very high quality
man, i still think about how Half-life Alyx's lighting made it look oddly real. Whereas most triple-A games have a 'mock-realism' to them, trying way too hard to make everything extremely beautiful
