This weekend I competed at and won the IBJJF No-Gi European Championships!. Had 4 fights with 3 finishes and 0 points scored against me. Overall, very happy with the performance and more importantly with how I felt on the mats. Next step: World Championships in December!

Many such cases . Weird situation where ppl make their entire identity hating on an industry they seemingly devote their lives to.
The biggest change to CT over the years is number of down bad impoverished toxic stragglers. When people lose all their money on ct, they don’t leave. They stay on in this weird purgatory state and just root for others to lose lol. It just gets comically worse every year.

The biggest differentiator I've seen between the great founders and the rest is that the greats are always laser focused on correctly identifying the 1-3 most important priorities for the business and will aggressively say no to everything else. This is most evident when you.

Btw, I say this as someone who spent literally years helping to try and save projects we worked with after the Terra collapse. In hindsight it was a very -EV use of time, but I'd do it all again regardless.
My biggest black-pill as a VC is that the concept of "value-add" as an investor is mostly BS. The best founders don't need your advice. In fact, if a founder asks for and regularly takes your advice, this is probably a negative signal . Looking back at 8 years of investing, I can.

Every since I joined the space in 2017 I’ve been hearing that “institutions are coming”. I never rly understood what this meant, but never in my wildest, wettest dreams did I imagine they’d be creating public company wrappers to straight buy up our bags at 1.5-3x what they’re.
