By the looks of it the Israeli strategy is to get all the hostages freed and then resume the war on some or other pretext. That way the pressure the indefinite imprisonment of hostages has been causing is greatly reduced.

There is a tweet, purportedly from Trump, saying if Afghanistan does not return Bagram air base to the US “bad things will happen” to Afg. Actually, everything bad that can happen has already happened to Afg. Recently women were banned from going to school!

India is as usual toying with Afghanistan. It is re opening Indian consulates located on the Pak Afghan border to spy on Pak, and infiltrate Pak, pretending it expects a horde of tourists from that benighted Emirate.

In retrospect nothing was more predictable than Pak striking TTP terrorists attacking Pak operating out of Kabul. Warnings of such action were legion. And one is confident our friends and allies were consulted and are/will be supportive.

It’s a pity that even as India is gearing up to wage war Pakistan should be so politically divided. And that need not have been the case. And for that frankly everyone is to blame not just one party.

The tonnage of bombs dropped on tiny Gaza was reportedly five times more in destructive power than the nukes dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. For sheer brutality the Gaza war stood out as perhaps the cruellest of all wars ever waged.

Yes, indeed, the Gaza ceasefire was something to be jubilant about for the Palestinians and others exposed to the Israeli bombing. For Trump and Netanyahu the reasons for their gleeful smiles were different. They had got away with murder actually genocide.

The TTP attacks across the Afgh border and the attackers themselves are TTA proxies co funded by India. Afg FM Muttaqi’s current visit to India will reveal more on that score as does the gathering intensity of the conflict. Or are we blind?

Returning the dead body of an enemy soldier for burial at home is among the honourable traditions of war practised by civilised countries. But not the Zionist barbarians of Israel. They buried a bomb in his body to wound and maim his relatives.

Although all countries at the Moscow meeting of regional states agreed they would collaborate to promote security in the region no specific steps were agreed on. Indeed, Indian and Afg collaboration to facilitate TTP attacks on Pak have been stepped up.

The Italian, Spanish and Turkish vessels participating in the Anti Israel Flottila turned tail and fled as they approached Israel. But then Italian and Spanish history is replete with acts of cowardice. The Turks also doing so was a surprise. Et tu Erdogan?

Once considered a populist, then an eccentric, Trump today is considered dangerously unbalanced. And as it begins to dawn on Congress that Trump means to control the mid term elections by deploying the National Gaurd all hell threatens to break loose.

But for Nethany…global support for Palestine wd have remained modest. No Hitler and there would have been no Israel. No Modi and the India wd have had Muslims constituting 30% of the armed forces, as they once did, not the 2% presently. You get the drift?

Modi can’t enter begin the Bihar election campaign without some sort of military action against Pak demonstrating thereby that India can’t merely hold its own but also hurt Pak significantly. Our response, one suspects, will be deadly.

Modi’s trade is Islamophobia and the hate he eeks for Muslims is manifest. But even Modi did not rejoice at the treatment meted to the Palestinians by the Zionist racist regime in Telaviv.

Europe has out performed every other region when it comes to standing up for Palestine, of course, with a few exceptions. Even non official America, the Admin of which is the fount of Israeli cruelty, did better than some Arabs. A fact never to be forgotten.

Just as well a JI former Senator was on board a boat in the international flotilla which sailed from Spain to protest the Gaza genocide. His singular act lent credence to our public’s interest in and commitment to the Palestinian cause. Bravo

Assuming what Trump says is true, and both sides have agreed to a ceasefire then, it seems, if you kill, say, 100,000 men, women and children out of a pop of 2.4 million, injure 300,000 more, impose a famine, you can win the battle, but not the war.
