First meet of the summer in the books! A hot few days, but came home with a new PR in discus(30.92m), a second place finish in shot with my best throw of the day being 11.22m, and I got to throw javelin for the first time! Excited to keep strengthening my throws this summer!

Our guy did it!! He rang the bell, he beat cancer!! Unbelievably happy for @OscarOscarQ and his family that this horrible part of his journey is over. This kid showed resilience and perseverance in the face of sadness and fear. #fcancer

Great day at the FVC indoor championships! Team came home with the DUB. Throwers had a day, consistently throwing PRs or near PR. Big highlight of the night was Frosh Evie Freundt who’s been out for track for 2 weeks after basketball season and nearly throws 9m. Trust the process

I’ve always embraced challenges as a coach, and have looked for athletes who accept and embrace them. Day #1 of switching sophomore Elena Fetzer from glide to rotational for shot put and she didn’t bat an eye. Embrace challenges! Get comfortable being uncomfortable!
