Its sad and deeply troubles us that journalist and Editor Faith Zaba's bail ruling has been postponed to the 4th of July 2025 owing to power outages before the magistrate could hand down his ruling. It's unfortunate Faith has to endure another chilling night in confinement.

This is what transpired. State: Having gone through the medical documents of the accused and having verified them, there are no compelling reasons for State to oppose bail. We have proposed conditions for the Court to consider to admit the accused person to bail.

AMH journalist and Editor Faith Zaba who is facing charges of undermining the authority of the President over a satirical piece published in the Zimbabwe Independent newspaper has spent two nights in detention. She appeared this morning before Harare Magistrate for bail hearing.
