It was a great honor to speak at the ESIR in Strasbourg, France on October 16–17. The program featured excellent lectures, simulator-based training, and an animal lab with participants from many countries. Grateful to CIRSE for their outstanding organization and warm hospitality.

A patient had recurrent swelling and pain in the left knee after knee replacement. Two catheter treatments fully resolved the swelling, allowing return to daily activities and exercise. This case shows catheter therapy as an effective option for persistent post-surgery knee pain.

30s female marathoner with jumper’s knee didn’t improve with PRP. Catheter embolization of abnormal patellar tendon vessels relieved pain—back to light training in 5 days, full running in 1 month, marathon in 2 months. A promising option for PRP-resistant cases.

We perform the puncture at the point where the transverse cervical artery crosses over the brachial plexus, above the middle scalene muscle. Technically, I believe this procedure is relatively challenging.

A woman in her 40s suffered chronic shoulder pain for over 20 years. Ultrasound revealed inflammation; we treated the affected vessels with a direct simplified arterial injection. Within a week, pain and numbness were gone, mobility improved, and daily stress was greatly reduced.

On June 1st, we held our third MSK embolization live stream as a VENTI pre-event. I performed the procedures while Dr. Goh, VENTI co-founder, moderated. It was a great chance to collaborate ahead of the main conference on November 7–8 and build strong momentum!

The Washington Post (May 11, 2025) featured GAE (the genicular artery embolization) as a promising, minimally invasive treatment for knee osteoarthritis. GAE targets abnormal vessels caused by chronic inflammation to relieve pain at its source. Full article in comments.

A woman suffering from severe shoulder stiffness underwent intra-arterial injection treatment targeting the transverse cervical artery. Her symptoms dramatically improved on the same day. Freed from years of discomfort, she has returned to playing golf.

A 59-year-old man with knee pain lasting over two months due to recurrent gout attacks underwent catheter-based embolization. The pain completely resolved within a month, and more than a year later, there has been no recurrence of symptoms.
