Year 8 Art pupils have been learning about the importance of bees in our environment. They have created some fantastic tonal drawings using graphite, in the style of the artist April Copini.

The school is closing due to water supply being cut off. All learners will need written permission via text to their phones in order for them to leave site. Buses and taxi are being called at 10:45.

Ysgol Bryn Elian 6th Form Open Evening is tomorrow, Tuesday 14th January 2025 between 5-7pm. We welcome students from other schools as well as our own.

Some of our eco-savvy Year 8 students were treated to a Conservation Christmas Workshop this term with the Education Team from the Welsh Mountain Zoo. They made seed paper decorations and learnt about the importance of eco-friendly decision making over Christmas.

Luke Hughes, educational officer within Pathology, also gave students information regarding the different routes to becoming a Biomedical Scientist and the future careers available within pathology.

The Year 11 travelled to Cardiff to watch the home nation , Wales, take on the world champions South Africa. The results didn’t go the way Wales would have liked but there was some great rugby on show and a great time was had by all.
