Today's standards being 12 episode seasons with a 2-year wait period for more at the best of times. Today's standards where most shows die on the vine. Today's standards where things like "character devlopment" get in the way of plot progression.

On the 11th of October 1989, the 1st episode of Patlabor: The TV Series aired. It ran for 47 episodes and followed its own continuity, separate from the OVAs and movies. It debuted in SRW OE (PSP) in 2013. Happy 36th Anniversary 🎉

MGSD Aerial! I was skeptical of the MGSD line, but the hype is well earned. A few kinda annoying parts (the head is surprisingly finicky to build) but otherwise an absolute delight. Great design, articulation, aesthetics, and solid as a brick shithouse. 9.5/10 #gunpla

Hopefully this season can find a better tonal balance than Stampede. Mostly I'm excited to see a new spin on Trigun that stands on its own. We don't get many adaptations like that these days.

There's a difference between Hathaway having a nighttime mobile suit fight with sharp contacts from fpames and explosions, vs a pitch black Game of Thrones Season 8 battle where they said "lol get a better TV" to hide that they had completely screwed up the light balance.
