In terms of seniority, this is the most experienced side that Sheffield Wednesday can currently put out next weekend…. Not a single player over 21 for the bench, and no guarantees that all of these starters will be available. #SWFC

Another day at the circus.

Just looked at my numbers for July, and I ended up writing 126 Sheffield Wednesday stories this month…. 126 articles, and bet I’m in single figures for ones that were actually about football. Good riddance, July.

This is absolutely devastating.

I’ve been asked to post this video by Tommy Craig, actor and lifelong #SWFC fan. A man deeply worried about his club, requesting Prince William’s attention. A slight slip of the tongue midway through, but it’s a heartfelt plea and he’s not alone in feeling like he does.

Like @SportGids1, I’ve been told that some #SWFC players have now been paid, as have the club’s teenage scholars…. It’s by no means a majority who have been paid, and it remains to be seen when everyone will get their wages. 🦉⚽️.

Understand that the EFL are considering withholding money from Sheffield Wednesday - TV money, for instance - in order to pay off some of the club’s debts. They have the power to do so as per Article 48 of their rules and regulations: #SWFC 🦉⚽️.

After they received communication yesterday from the club saying that salaries ‘will not be fulfilled’, I’m told that #SWFC’s scholars have now just been paid. Not sure if it’s a reactionary thing or was always the hope, but it’s good that they’ve got their money at least.

Had loads of people asking about Bannan and a possible player/coach role to circumnavigate the wage cap…. My understanding is that only player wages are capped, not staff, but would think it’d be highly unlikely the EFL would allow this sort of loophole. They’d just say no.

For those wondering, understand that Henrik Pedersen has signed a three-year agreement at Sheffield Wednesday…. Next job is to try and find a technical team and some players - none of which will be easy in #SWFC’s current climate.

#SWFC’s financial crisis is affecting players at every level of the club, now including academy scholars…. Players, aged 16-18, some expecting their first ever pay packets, have now been informed not to expect them on time. It’s only around £1000 a month.
