Sum it up my parents are amazing. My dad is absolutely my hero! My mother is amazing. If only they could have found a solar powered margarita machine we’d been set 😆 feel like we’re “glamping” at this point. I’m sweating 🥵 but we got cute palettes in the living room 🛏️🥰

After a manhunt for a working store on the island that still had safe running store refrigerators my MVP mother @Instacart August 3 gallons of milk! Let’s just say he was more than thrilled. (Using ASL to sign milk) 🥛

Our younger son is autistic & is extremely hyper fixated on milk. He goes through a gallon every 48 hours. After our food went bad we had to throw away the milk. He didn’t understand & had many episodes while pacing over it signing “milk” (asl) repeatedly in distress.

Thanks to them we were able to secure ourselves a little generator to connect to our refrigerator to prevent any new food from going bad (we had to throw away all our original food) so their babies could have food in their bellies & cold drinks!

There was even a point where my dad had considered driving all the way down here himself just to try to bring us supplies, gas, & shelter. My mom has been Hunting locations with power, A/C, food, & gasoline. They really have been frantically searching for solutions.

Extremely grateful for my parents tonight. They have gone above & beyond all while being thousands of miles away trying to help keep their grand babies safe during #hurricaneberyl aftermath. Brandon & I couldn’t be more grateful for their help. Best parents ever 🏡❤️🌀
