I’ve read many of these annual reviews but never imagined I’d get to write and publish one! Written with Profs Zhang @imperialcollege and Burgers @WashU, our review on ‘DNA Damage and Replication Stress Checkpoints’ is out now in this year’s @AnnualReviews of Biochemistry

Absolute pleasure to join Stephen Horn and Laila Rizvi on the @Agents_of_Tech podcast and talk with #Nobel winner John Jumper about #AlphaFold and his research @GoogleDeepMind. We also touch on needing experimentalists, and what’s next https://t.co/HSUC4sKB5r via @YouTube

Proud to be on the ‘Equal Dose’ podcast from @WebsEdge_Med talking about #organdonation. It was wonderful to share Sam’s story, @LLTGL, and was very humbling to hear about the Billy Moon Foundation, NYC. A thought provoking episode available here:

we believe that only through behaviour change strategies can we make a long-term, sustainable difference in tackling the chronic donor shortages, such as including organ donation in health education in primary schools using programmes like the @MightyOrgamites.

An important story on @BBCNews today. I spoke to them on behalf of @LLTGL to highlight the importance of early education to help address the urgent need for more donors. https://t.co/7FOzWV0mD8

Grateful to be featured on the @BBCTheOneShow tonight showcasing the important work of @LLTGL and the @MightyOrgamites in promoting organ donation awareness in primary schools. Despite the law change @NHSBT stats released today show consent rate has dipped.

Today marks 11 years since my wife Sam passed away waiting for a lung transplant. She campaigned for more donors, and I still carry on her legacy. Sadly, the number of patients that die each year waiting has not changed in a decade! Please talk to your family about your decision
