@Yates_Doug Hey Doug our Dad's worked together back in the mid 70,s actually your dad assembled engines for my Dad Parky Nall when he first moved to North Carolina both being Ford guys Is pretty cool I'm sure they traded some speed secrets lol.

It was an honor to show my uncle, Mr. Richard Yates, the new Heritage Center at Roush Yates. Uncle Richard has always been one of my heroes and part of our rich history at Robert Yates Racing and Roush Yates Engines.

Travis was one of the nicest guys, best car owners, and crew chiefs @NASCAR history. My dad and I built his engines in the early 2000’s and enjoyed all of the time that we spent with him and his teams. He will be missed.
Godspeed Travis Carter. He used to greet me with "Hey, Cousin McGee" because I was from Rockingham, NC and he was from Ellerbe, NC and "that's close enough." What a NASCAR legend and what a damn nice guy.
