I know that’ll disappoint some people but I don’t see them ending up dating (in the traditional sense at least.) I do still think they’re each other’s most important person and will always be together though -uhhhh I don’t think OG Hikaru will come back (lol) sorry man

-Yoshikaru becoming an “official couple” To be clear I think they’ve objectively got stuff going on and feelings for each other. But those aren’t really romantic feelings, on either side, even in their most honest moments. They’re something more complicated but also less

Yoshiki represents queer youth and their desire for a place to belong. That’s not my headcanon or something, I’m pretty sure it’s just straight up in the text. To have a story build up the narrative of someone finding that belonging and then dying is a little pointless

Ways I DONT think it’ll end: -one of them dying. Mkmkr has practically outright said they don’t want to kill Hikaru off. That doesn’t seem like the kind of story they’re telling I don’t think Yoshiki will die, not in a traditional sense. He has to live

3. “Fake our deaths” ending Pretty self explanatory, although I don’t know how they’d get around to actually doing it. I used to be more sold on this but at this point I think the ending will be less straightforward than “they run away to Tokyo together”

2. “Yoshiki eats the thing” ending Doesn’t have to be literally eating- maybe it sinks into his hand or something. He becomes fully mixed and the company cannot control hikaru because half of him is in Yoshiki. Idk how it would END end though

Thread of ways I think TSHD might end 1. The “total fusion” ending They literally become one guy, full stop. Kind of out there of an ending but Hikaru and Yoshiki get to be together forever and the company lose track of them
