A fence is currently being put up. This comes after MPD’s original request to close the park due to safety and damage concerns during prior pride events. Despite MPD rescinding their request, USPP has the final call and a security fence is going up. @DCNewsNow

Police tape surrounds Dupont Circle, even as USPP and NSP have yet to confirm if the park will close amid World Pride celebrations. MPD withdrew its closure request after community pushback earlier this week but USPP has the final say. @DCNewsNow
