Students can earn up to $5K per year learning the deep histories of Black books, pamphlets, anthologies, newspapers, and magazines, along with gaining DH skills that can enrich their research and teaching. We anticipate hiring in the future, too, at least 2 more teams.

We're ready to hire our first team of graduate students—3 from Yale and 3 from Rutgers. We'll start our data collection work at the Beinecke and Schomburg in Summer 2023 and extend out to other libraries and archives across the US in the coming years.
