Year 10 House Spelling Bee this lunchtime and Crown won. They also won the Year 7 one so something is going right in Crown House for spelling!

Our Outdoor Learning group have been making garden lights made from old tin cans and weather permitting will soon be starting nature photography projects.

A group of students recently attended the Gladiators event and throughly enjoyed dodgeball, pickleball and cup stacking amongst other events, this is always a popular morning event.

Phoebe in Yr 8 attended the East Invicta ASA Olympic Training Camp, the second time she had been selected for the 2 day camp. She is pictured with Olympic Swimmers Medi Harris (centre) and Grant Turner (right), and coach Gordon Watson (left). Well done Phoebe.

Badminton- six pairs of U13/U15 boys played at Ashford & Folkestone District Badminton Championships, playing grammar/independent schools & playing fantastically well, developing their skills in a sport they are relatively inexperienced at competitively. Well done to all.

Royal Navy careers visited school today and did a mixture of talks and activities with a range of students, including putting some Year 10s through their paces with fitness tasks. An interesting insight into what a career in the navy is like.

Year 7 reward session after school today for students with the most Reward Points this term. Christmas crafts, hot chocolate and a surprising number of mince pies occurred.

Congratulations to Chester in Year 8 who has been commended today by the Mayor of Ashford for his transport map of the town. It is based on the London tube map and is on sale in Made in Ashford in County Square.

Yr11 Food students were given the opportunity to make street food with a 50 minute deadline. Sausage rolls, chicken stir fry and noodles, chicken gyros and flatbreads and sweet and sour chicken with rice were on the menu. They were very proud of their outcomes!

Nature Club has been busy this term, preparing beds for winter, planting garlic bulbs, making seed balls for birds, making 'Mr Bouquet' our scarecrow and making Christmas Wreaths.
