Reykjavík at 11:30 p.m. is just like Reykjavík at 11:30 a.m. Still lots of people out and about on bikes, scooters, walking their dogs, even playing soccer. #MidnightSun

Certainly one of the most intense supercells I’ve seen around here. Power will likely take a few days to be fully restored in the hardest-hit areas. The Berkshire NYS Mesonet station recorded a gust of 61 mph. Meanwhile, not even a tree limb down here and I’m only 2 miles north.

Severe storms occurred today; one of them was a large high-end long track supercell that dropped large hail and damaging winds across its 100+ mile path. Reports will take awhile to gather. Feel free to add comments/pics/reports here; include location. Thx! #pawx #nywx

I don't know if I've ever seen a 77-degree dew point here before. The morning downpours certainly juiced up the air. #NYwx

The heat should stay in check today thanks to an ongoing complex of thunderstorms that produced a lot of wind damage and flash flooding in the Mohawk Valley and Catskills this morning. Over 75,000 customers are without power in New York state to start the day. #NYwx
