A bit shocked to discover that I've advanced to round 2 of The Rhyming Story Challenge 2025! Back in September I was assigned a genre (comedy), a theme (public speaking) and an emotion (appreciative) and had 8 days to write a 600-word story. My effort placed 5th in my group!

It's Halloween, which can only mean one thing... the Halloweensie contest for children's writers is back! I love coming up with a teensy Halloween tale of 100 words using the three prompt words. Here's this year's effort, inspired by me opening the oven with my glasses on! 🧙🏼🧹🐉
