Issue #7 of The Spit Bucket zine has arrived into my greedy little hands. Look at this beautiful thing. Just look at it. Nothing beats physical media.

My novel The 9 Lives of Ray the Cat Jones is based on the real life story of a class conscious criminal & is way more believable than most true crime books. It would be a steal at twice the price! You can order it here (& on many other platforms): https://t.co/Z15tVkH1bX

Lotta good discourse on Sonny Liston recently, so I’ll add my brief look at his legacy as an example of Mark Fisher’s “absent presence,” kindly published by @WritersOnBoxing 🔗 Link below, too

I started things off right with a piece in The Spit Bucket @WritersOnBoxing about the painter Francis Bacon and a small study he made of Jack Dempsey. https://t.co/wxSkHGy9or

This is sad. I finally got to meet Melanie at last month's LEBA meeting and she was as lovely as I expected. She worked tirelessly to document the voices of men that most overlooked. Her 'Sweet Fighting Man' series is a worthy record of working class men often ignored by media.🥊
🥊🇬🇧 So sad to hear the news we’ve lost a wonderful boxing writer in @sweetwriter1 Melanie Lloyd A lovely lady we often spoke with on here - will be a big miss. Rest easy Melanie 🙏

This stool was 'customised' with a far more traditional design by its previous owners who also signed their initials and a love heart on the underside (which I couldn't photograph unfortunately.
