I also learned about slippage, the difference between expected price of trade and actual price. He asked us to visualize the expected price of a bag of rice and the actual price of a bag of rice. He also talked about the causes of slippage like liquidity, etc.

Formula for calculating gas: gas used * (base fee + priority fee). Base fee: A fee automatically calculated by network based on demand. Priority fee: A "tip" to compensate the miner for prompt transaction processes.
