Michael Wright (@MWrightTO) recently spoke to TVO about our ongoing work on behalf of Uber drivers and delivery people seeking to enforce their rights under the ESA. Check it out! https://t.co/AZegseKSGG

The lawsuit seeks to answer whether drivers have been denied the title of employee, and the ruling could have repercussions on the whole gig economy.

Today the Court of Appeal upheld Bill 124's unconstitutionality. We are very proud to have represented @TheSocietySays which, along with other members of the labour movement, challenged this wage restraint legislation and stood up for workers in Ontario. Solidarity always!
The Society is glad that the Court of Appeal for Ontario upheld an earlier decision which struck down the Ontario government’s Bill 124. The Court of Appeal has agreed with the earlier decision, finding the law unconstitutional because it infringed collective bargaining rights.

Our team was at the @SCC_eng today representing @TheSocietySays intervening in the York Region District School Board v ETFO appeal. We advocated for the importance of Charter-based privacy rights for workers and advocated for a contextual approach to s. 8 in the workplace.

When Wright Henry's Brendans (McCutchen and Scott) team up, good things happen. They were recently successful in preserving an injured worker's benefits on judicial review.
