OTD 1995. Wrexham 2-2 Carlisle Utd.(Wrexham won 6-5 on pens).Isle of Man Football Festival. 30 years ago today, we played our first pre-season game against CUFC. Peter Ward and Craig Skinner were playing their first ever game. Wrexham won on pens after a 2-2 draw in 90 mins.

OTD 2019. Wrexham 1-3 Stoke City. 6 years ago today, we welcomed The Potters, who brought about 800 fans. 19yo Tyrese Campbell scored early, but Bobby Grant equalised after a mix up. Two second half goals from Sam Vokes settled it. We will finally play Stoke again in October.

OTD 2005. Wrexham 3-4 Liverpool. 20 years ago today, the European Champions visited The Racecourse on a sweltering hot day. Steven Gerrard had ‘nearly’ joined Chelsea just days before. Mark Jones, Lee McEvilly and Rodney Jack scored, with Morientes and Baros replying for LFC.

OTD 2017. Cefn Druids 1-3 Wrexham. 8 years ago this evening, a friendly game at The Rock against @CefnDruids. Trialist A was Akil Wright. Trialist B was the legendary Gime Toure. Trialist C was Kyle Jones. Gime, James Jennings and Barratt scored, with John Taylor replying.

OTD 1987 ✍️. 38 years ago today, Dixie McNeil captured the signing of Jon Bowden from Port Vale for £12,500. ‘Animal’ would prove to be a great buy, making just under 200 appearances over five seasons and become a huge favourite with the Wrexham faithful in difficult times.

Details from @WAFCArchive of the Watney Cup clash between Wrexham and WBA, which Chris refers to. The Watney Cup was a very strange and short lived competition in the early 1970’s, featuring the two teams who scored the most goals in each division the previous season!
Fairly sure #WBA have never played @Wrexham_AFC before in a League game. Going to be a big occasion for their first home game. Last meeting was a Watney Cup clash.

2️⃣5️⃣. OTD 2000. 25 years ago today, Wrexham AFC signed @TTFootballAssoc duo Hector Sam and @CarlosEdwards7 from @Jablotehtt and Defence FC respectively. They would go on to make nearly 400 appearances for us, scoring 75 goals between them, and will always be fondly remembered 🇹🇹

OTD 2019 ✍️. 6 years ago today, Wrexham signed Mark Harris on a season long loan from Cardiff City. After a good start, he fell out of favour once Dean Keates returned and his deal was cut short in January. Mark has since won 10 Welsh caps and will face us next season with OUFC
