The story is descriptively rich and does a great job of letting on just how self-absorbed the man is all the while viewing everything from his POV. It is fast-paced and paying attention is an easy feat.Overall I would rate this a 10/10 because of the complex psychological mechan-.

-e had made more of an effort not just to maintain her devotion but to actually be curious about her,he could've prevented what happened.She seems more of a tool to escape his existential loneliness than anything else.Why else would a man in his 40s go after a 16-year-old?.

Toward the end of the novel he admits to feeling as though he has trapped and t0rtur3d her,though he still seems not to understand why she would commit such a dramatic act.Perhaps if there hadn't been such a lack of communication between the two,perhaps if throughout the novel h-.

-ive character is rather concerning if somewhat relatable. In his descriptions of his wife I found no love or comprehension,merely obsession.He is terrified of losing her,not because he loves her but because he feels he needs to subjugate her in order to feel complete.

"La mite" by Dostoyevsky(which I read in Italian and I can't be bothered to Google the English translation)is a potent internal monologue by a man whose wife has just d13d by su1c1d3.The entire story is a flashback beginning at how they met and arriving at the present moment.
