People racialized as Black been talking about structural racism for 50-leven years. Scholars racialized as White discovered it last year and the funding flood gates opened up.

Early years of the HIV pandemic framed HIV/AIDS as a ‘gay man disease.’ Women, and especially Black and brown heterosexual women, suffered from this narrow framing. Even now, the rates of pre exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) use among high risk women are lower than they should be. 1/

Also, non-gays have it and want the vaccine. You just don’t know it bc you aren’t testing or vaccinating them.
