For the Desert Exhibit I wanted a Saguaro to show the Gila and Gilded, so I made one. 80 inches tall, 10" diameter, 20 ribs, starting arm(limb), 6000 paint spots, 11 flower buds/blossoms. Whew!- Lot of work. πŸ₯΄The Caracara just happened by as I took the picture.🀣

For the tropical woodlands exhibit. At one end, I will paint the mural as a night scene and will construct a rock wall with cave opening. Very unique in the bird world, these are the only fruit eating, flying, nocturnal species that uses echolocation. Oilbird – 18 inches long

When I did this sculpture in 2002, I planned on showing the bird in it's unique, umbrella fishing technique. When I open my museum ( no date known at this time ), I will make two more. One will be in that pose..... and standing in "water." Black Heron. #birdsculpture
