You cannot be a SA red wine lover and not attend the annual Caroline's Red Wine Review evening! . I've attended the last 2 years and it's really one of the most epic evenings on the local wine calendar with producers pouring the best reds they have on offer.

This is good!. Petite Sirah from Riebeek Valley Wine co. Big on fruit and big on body! Strong tannin for structure. A great wine for a cold evening. Thanks @JonoLeFeuvre!

As the weather gets worse, we move from Chardonnay to a Boplaas port.

This is probably one of my favourite Chardonnays. Pairs perfectly with terrible Cape Town weather.
