Southern water finances so fragile they are forced to suspend dividends - Where has billpayers money really gone? What have the regulators been up to? Forensic inquiry needed to end the scam.
@WindrushWasp
Its a classic fraud They have taken your money AND borrowed to line the wallets of board members and shareholders -and now want YOU to pay to sort out the mess Needs court action Prosecutions and these criminals jailing π‘π‘π‘

While all this is true - itβs time for Government to grow a spine. They need to protect customers, not the company so no need to bail out shareholders or bondholders. The legal requirements have not changed so enforce them, apply fines and if need to βrescueβ then owners wipedout

Inquiry needed (SW needs to return part of its profits to it's customers; from the day it was privatised in 1989). SW has 2.26 million customers. Returning just Β£50/customer/year that would amount to Β£1700/customer. Times this by 2.26 million (Β£3.842 x 10^9)!!

As I watched a 10 year old boy excitedly wave to his parents as he floated in the sea near Margate with a white scum attached to the seaweed around him I just felt disgusted. Iβd like to invite the board and snr management here for a champagne reception and swim in the effluent
@WindrushWasp
Reclaim the money taken contrary to the licenses - Just because regulators were involved in allowing the regs to be broken does not make it legal.

Surely it's time to nationalise the water industry again? Our bills are literally money down the drain for a service of effluent & sewage spewed into rivers & beaches, billions of gallons of water wasted through unrepaired leaks etc. Shareholders expect their bonus at our expense
