Our fabulous choir had their final Christmas carolling performance at Woodlands Methodist Church this afternoon. The children have been in high demand this Christmas - we're going to have to sort a booking system for next year!

Some more photos from the Year 5 trip to Leeds yesterday! The children had the chance to travel on the train in all weathers and to visit Leeds City Museum. They did a treasure trail around the museum and had an Anglo Saxon workshop to end their history unit!

Amazing resilience and determination from all of Year 5 today who have dealt with train delays, overcrowded platforms and unhelpful network rail staff. We had a lovely email from a member of the public who was on the same train back, staying the children behaved brilliantly!

A group of Year 5 children went carolling at Fairfax Manor this afternoon. The residents loved having us and showed their appreciation with some well-earned juice and biscuits. The children were amazing and it certainly got us all in the Christmassy spirit! 🎄

5KW performed speeches to our partners today and some brave children chose to stand up and share their persuasive arguments about how to change their future for the better! They talked confidently and knowledgeably about climate change, carbon footprints and the greenhouse effect

Year 4 have been doing observational drawing in art, using these exhibits that we are borrowing from Kirklees council and museums. As part of this we have had the opportunity to discuss why people used to display animals and the importance of looking after the environment.
