- over 50,000 young people between the ages 16-35 have been mobilized in various agribusiness initiatives. However, more work is a head of us as we work towards enabling 250,000 young people get to diginified and fulfilling work.

The event enabled the SAYE project to show the region what exactly has been going on over the last year. Seeing is believing, and trust me, many locals and others outside Busoga region were impressed with the tremendous work and impact sofar.

The Minister flagged off trucks of watermelon, ‘tukutukus’ (motorcycles) loaded with tomatoes and toured stalls manned by young incubatees with products which ranged from bottled/ processed juices, groundnut paste, porridge formulations, processed coffee, among others.

The function was graced by the State Minister for Agriculture – Honorable Fred Bwino as the chief guest, Iganga local government and/or neighboring districts technical and local leadership, the private sector, cultural leaders, religious leaders, youth & SAYE consortium staff.
