Very lucky that I get to play great golf courses through my job. This was taken last week at La Réserve, the day after the Mauritius Open. Some ridiculous views of the Indian Ocean from every tee box, and one of the coolest courses I've ever seen. Highly recommend!

Europe’s big players stepping up in big moments like they have all week. Donald has to take huge credit for the environment he’s created within this team. I would like to see him captain again in 2025. What a win.

Almost squeaky bum time for Europe… Fleetwood and MacIntyre in 11 and 12 all of sudden look quite important.

Viktor Hovland and a player who was an amateur in June have beaten the world number one and a five-time Major winner 9&7 in a Ryder Cup. Astonishing.

Hindsight a wonderful thing, but Zach Johnson has also had a shocker with these pairings. The four left in the locker room have 11 Majors between them. Instead, ZJ opted for rookies to start in an away Ryder Cup.

Europe have been unbelievable, but the US side look like a team who haven’t played golf in a while, which is exactly what they are. 7 of the 8 guys out there haven’t played in a month. Such weird prep, they wouldn’t do that for a Major.

Just as I say that, Morikawa nearly skies one and Straka puts it in the deep stuff. Oh, of course.

Incredible standard of golf to start this Ryder Cup. Fairways and greens, Viktor boxing it from miles away on the first. Everyone talks about players feeling the pressure, but these guys are thriving of it.

Sure foursome pairings were decided a long time ago with all the analytics, so can’t read too much into these groupings IMO. But the possibility of a Rahm/Hojgaard pairing 🔥

Really enjoyed previewing this week’s Ryder Cup with @chaguejones Of course backing Team Europe, but odds of 12/1 for a draw after the weekend’s Solheim Cup will tempt many.

MacIntyre finds comfort in playing in several events in a row, hence his decision to play France this wk. But shooting 77 to miss the cut must be concerning for Donald and co. Hard to judge a player on a single round, but the timing of this one makes it impossible not to.

European Ryder Cup team in a great spot heading into Rome, somewhat unexpectedly. Last time Europe had one player inside the top 13 players in the world. This time they have three of the top four + hottest prospect in the sport. Not sure many saw this happening two years ago.

Really like Ewen Murray as a commentator, possibly the best out there. But scratching my head at his McIlroy comments. Says he shouldn’t hit a fade and his long follow-throughs on wedges are “unacceptable”. Rory wins again, and again, and again. He’s doing just fine.

DP World Tour has thrown up some brilliant story lines this season. Rory/Dubai, MacIntyre in Scotland, Rasmus in Denmark etc, but this weekend could be the best of the lot. Aberg v Meronk on Sunday at the flagship event given the recent situation is as good as it gets.🤞🏻
