Dear @RepYassAnsari @yassaminansari ,
I understand you represent Americans, specifically Arizonans, and I do not expect anything from you personally. But it is disappointing to see you repeatedly use your country of origin for attention and political gain, while doing nothing

This is important point. Many highly trained Iranian professionals—educated at leading U.S. universities—are unable to work or contribute meaningfully due to the #USCISPause, despite full legal compliance and completed security screenings. Each delay places careers, stability,
USCIS announces that "holds have been lifted" for "certain petitions filed by US citizens." The very vague language inspires little faith that this is a broad rollback of the USCIS benefits freeze affecting all immigrants from 40 countries rather than isolated relief for a few.

#LiftTheHold

Immigrants weren’t just filling existing jobs; they were helping create them. That’s Econ 101: jobs are not a fixed pie. More people means more customers, more demand, more businesses expanding, and yes, more hiring.

@StateDept Today, IABA and allied Iranian American organizations urged the U.S. government to resume immigration adjudications for lawfully present Iranians in the United States. For months, students, doctors, engineers, researchers, and founders have been left in limbo. Many are at risk

Dear @LisaDaftari, Many Iranian students, researchers, and professionals in the United States are facing growing uncertainty as their work authorizations—including OPT, H-1B visas, and immigration cases with USCIS—remain on hold. The delays have placed their careers and legal

Agreed and important point. Many highly trained Iranian professionals—educated at top U.S. universities—are currently unable to apply their skills or contribute meaningfully due to the #USCISPause. This is despite having followed all legal processes and successfully passed
As a reminder, I am very much PRO increasing legal immigration significantly. I’m not anti-immigration, I’m just against a massive number of unvetted people flooding into America, which any rational person should be.

This matters. Legal, highly skilled professionals are not a burden, they are a competitive advantage. They power innovation, grow businesses, and expand opportunity. The #USCISpause risks all of that. #LiftTheHold

Thank you @hpux. This is about countless Iranian students and professionals whose lives are hanging by a thread, people who have given everything to help make this country great and are still ready to give more #USCISpause
Thousands of vetted Iranian students, engineers and researchers are living and working legally in the US but now stuck in out of status limbo. USCIS froze nearly all their pending applications like OPT extensions, H1B adjustments, green cards since December 2025 under a blanket
