What began as a cool road trip for Dan & Xinyuan from Orono to Montreal turned into a fun collaboration with colleagues old and new. Thanks and kudos @jpcasasruiz, @BodmerPascal, and @PauldelGiorgio for the leadership on this effort. 👍.

We've been on to this sideways solution to the top-down vs. bottom-up problem for a while. now we have the definitive tome on the subject! This paper will come in handy when explaining the need to include lateral & aquatic fluxes when reconciling C budgets.
This was a fun, collaborative effort between a multidisciplinary team of scientists, with @BodmerPascal, @WheatlandLab, @ziegler_sue, @wet_erik, @PauldelGiorgio, @FinlayScience, @ArcticBiology, @JackieRWebb, and many other #noTwitter folks. #carbon #landsink #carbonbudget #GHG.

Rapid transformation of the energy economy is required for any chance at the 1.5 (or 2?) degree target. Lots of interest in green hydrogen on Energy Day at #COP27 . Energy Secretary Granholm on hydrogen hubs and R&D at the National Labs

#COP27 The window is closing. The emissions gap report has us blowing past 2 deg much less 1.5. Change needs to happen fast (and equitable)
