Honestly,main thing you're getting out of this is either I really like to try and either control the game with this one for one interactions OR "Make big monster and punch you". Funnily enough, never played Tempai. I was on Ghoti or Mimighoul most of those formats.

Apologies, odds are slightly better as I didn't catch that the Power Patron of Destruction here is the promotional version and not the one in box.

Part of that is I think core sets might be getting a bit too bloated trying to do new archetypes & lore archetype & legacy support & support for things from the previous set & filler.

Presuming equal chances here, in a given secret slot of your box you get 9% of a $60 card, 27% of a $15 card, 18% of a $10 card, and 45% of a roughly $5 or lower card. Heck, you got as even a chance of getting of a <$1 card as the $60! And that sucks!:

A lot of why the core sets feel so bad right now is the strategy seems to be "Here is one or two super hyped cards that are worth the cost of the box, but you're probably not going to get it", leaving buying product to just the whales & not the casual-ish buyers.

JUHU as a set was pretty close to about what you'd want of those other concepts: at release all three archetypes were viable & rarity was distributed relatively evenly across them. Result was prices weren't too bad, & trading with others to get what you didn't want was viable.

This is basically where I'm at. Like, there's definitely more work to be done (pull rates, rarity distributions within archetypes, & archetype design are all areas that also been causing problems), but as long as they don't pull Magias with it this is a good thing.
