WATER OUTAGE - WILLIS STREET, WELLINGTON CBD Our team has responded to a burst drinking water pipe on Willis Street, Wellington Central. To carry out the repair, we've had to turn water off to 4 - 90 Willis Street (even side only) and 326 - 366 Lambton Quay (even side only).

FINAL UPDATE (1/2) The latest samples along Hutt River/Te Awa Kairangi, Petone beach and Eastbourne beaches have returned results within safe recreational limits. As always, we recommend following advice from Land, Air, Water Aotearoa (LAWA)

While the wastewater overflow has stopped, untreated wastewater was entering Hutt River. This means that these areas are unsuitable for the public to swim, fish and collect food from. Water quality testing has begun and will continue for 72 hrs or until results are clear.

We are working with the property manager directly to resolve any service issues, and complete the repair. Please run a cold tap for a few minutes to clear any air pockets or cloudy water from your pipes before using hot taps, dishwashers or washing machines.

TE ARO - BURST WATER PIPE FINAL UPDATE, 9:52am 25/5 Our crews have identified the issue, and have been able to return service to all properties. Some remaining work may require water to be shut off again to 259 Wakefield St only.

They're also investigating a potential broken wastewater pipe, and are working to resolve this as quickly as possible. We'll keep you updated with the latest info.
