A timely reminder considering it is BOILING outside today & tomorrow. Make sure never to walk ur dog in peak temperatures through the day, we can take off our coats, dogs cannot. The heat of pavements and roads has the potential to burn paws. NEVER EVER leave a dog in a hot car.

There are rising cases of pancytopenia (low blood cells) in cats being reported, which can be fatal. As a result of this, some cat foods are being recalled. If you have been feeding your cat dry food from AVA (Pets at Home), Applaws, Sainsburys own brand, please stop immediately

🚙 And, as ever, pets should never, ever be left in a car on a hot day, regardless of how quick you’re going to be or if the windows are down. Temperatures can climb scarily fast and this can be very fatal 🚙

Small furries such as bunnies, guinea pigs should always have access to shade, cool fresh water & their hutches should be cleaned out more regularly to avoid attracting flies. Their bottoms should also be checked twice daily for signs of flystrike, diarrhoea or faecal build up🐇
