Having the opportunity to encourage the next generation of leaders, and being included in a program with those that I have learned so much from – including Fr. Greg Pine, @jennfrey, Michael Gorman and Fr. Dominic Legge – is such a amazing privilege.

I was honored to speak at the @ThomisticInst's student leadership conference at @CatholicUniv. For me, this is an experience of coming full circle. In just 2018, I was one of those student leaders, starting a chapter of TI at @uarizona.

Just devastating. Hard to understand this decision from an academic standpoint, and I suspect that the ultimate reasons had little to do with purely academic considerations. @utulsa has prematurely terminated a new and exciting endeavor in academia.

Having a baby, finishing your dissertation, and landing a tenure-track professor job are daunting tasks. You accomplished all of them in just the past year. It is fitting that it was just Mother’s Day because Judah is lucky to have such an impressive mother. I love you, Laura!

While this is exciting for us, it is also bittersweet. Our time at @bgsu was too short, and we have experienced nothing but encouragement in a time when we very much needed it as new parents. We moved when Laura was 8 months pregnant and in the middle of writing a dissertation,.

The move will open up so many new possibilities – a place where we can both pursue our academic careers, an opportunity to build and strengthen civic education in Ohio, and a chance to create a long-term home and community within driving distance of our families.
