He made PDA’s Turina James building a reality. Frank was constantly seeking out ways to advance the greater good. Pretty special to know he saw PDA’s model as a source of hope for the future, to the point he was able to persuade others to bet big on it too. Forever grateful.

Thank you to @CMTammyMorales for her grounded, fact-based remarks on the SODA/SOAP bills. If we are to be serious about making a change for individuals and neighborhoods, we must follow evidence-based practices.
Today the Council passed both SOAP and SODA 8-1. I was the lone “no” vote, citing instead the number of solutions we could implement from our City Auditor’s report on public drug use and overdose. My full statement here ⏩️

Moving people in encampments from place to place with no plan doesn't help neighborhoods or people who are unhoused. CoLEAD is temporary lodging that helps people stabilize and transition to permanent housing.
