Arches were always on our wishlist. Our new house has #andalucian arches, and they are gorgeous.

I saved this photo we were renovating our house in Istria. However, we realised a black bathroom was not right for the stone house. We've now finally got our dream black bathroom, in the en-suite which has been created. It's not high gloss & not this style, but it's a beaut.

1. Pre-renovation : when we bought the house 2. Mid-renovation : when all was chaos 3. Post-renovation : doors and shelving still to be installed, but we are almost there with a beautiful new microcement kitchen. At times, we never thought we'd get here, but here we are...

This week the kitchen is finally getting the #microcement treatment. Last application today before the #resin is applied. Loving how it is transforming in front of our eyes...

Builders return next week. It's been lovely having the house to ourselves, but it'll be even lovelier, when the bath installation is finished. The luxury of a deep, warm bath cannot be under-estimated, especially when we've lived for months in reno chaos.

We don't need the double doors into the large living room as it's now all part of the open plan space. But we also didn't want to block them up. So, from the outside they are hidden by a cabinet & a mirror - but visible from inside the room. The mirror has made a big difference.

The internal side of the double doors now sanded, caulked and undercoated. Other side being done today, before top coat of white satinwood. Delighted with the results so far, especially with the newly sprayed white grilles. Let the light in...

Today we begin the transformational work that we can do, without the builders. The internal wooden doors are heavily varnished and not very pretty. The project to transform them into white, Moorish inspired doors, begins now. Cleaned, sanded, caulked, undercoating starting...

Easy fix for privacy in our bathroom. Although our house is not overlooked, the bathroom is, from houses higher up the hill. Rather than the expense & faff of opaque adhesives, we used a lovely #mandala transfer, sliced in half for each frame. Looks fab & gives privacy.

Needed to get greenery going straight away in the beautiful internal courtyard, and specifically around the metal grille of the first floor window. Had to be faux tumbling tendrils - a result, as will last for a long time, will survive heat, rain & cold snaps, and no maintenance.
