The big move begins. We finally get all of our belongings back next week, after over a year in storage, and can at last begin to create a home! It’s been a long year, of ups & downs, but we’re ready to get into our #andalucian #townhouse!

So looking forward to getting started on these walls and the beautiful wooden shutters. The arch around the shutters is amazing - and we’ll be working on it to enhance its shape. White walls and floaty drapes incoming. ,

Momentous moment. The first of the @SklumLoveDesign cabinets has been assembled! This makes the moving in seem SO much closer! Pops of gorgeous sunshine yellow for one of the guest bedrooms ☀️

Does anyone have experience of being a *recent* host with the @Workaway scheme? We’ve done it in the past & it’s been fab. Now told that you can only host ppl to do ‘light help around home & garden’ & because we’d like help with carpentry/painting, they won’t accept my profile…

We have new windows and new shutters! Made by a local carpenter, we've tried to faithfully re-create the originals, most of which were way beyond saving. Beautiful festoon lights outside the house, too. Thanks to the local council, for the Feria. Would love these to stay.

Searched & searched for a cupboard for our brass sink to sit on, with no luck. Nothing was *quite* right. Spotted this on the Sklum website. Perfect. Lovely shape & with the rippled glass we'll have elsewhere in the house. is a fab website - recommended!

It seems like it's taking forever to get our house renovated, but it's not. Our builders are amazing & are ploughing on, adapting to every change we ask for. This stage is now very exciting - tiling! And kitchen planning. Fancy following what we're doing?

The shape and layout of this courtyard is almost identical to ours. By coincidence, all of our surrounding windows will be black crittal and we are sourcing black patterned tiles. If it looks anything like this when we are finished, I will be SUPER happy 🖤

We are very, very lucky that we found our Spanish townhouse - which admittedly, needs a LOT of TLC. But, we're determined to do this #renovation properly & with care. For the first time ever, we're even considering the light switches & have opted for these #fontini beauties ✨

One of our best purchases. A 20 litre water filter from #ecofiltroeurope. It'll have paid for itself very quickly and our plastic waste will be massively reduced. A perfect piece of kit for long, hot summers when water is needed all the time. #waterfilter #ecofriendly

Very much looking forward to the day when our lives are not largely contained in a storage unit. It is very strange seeing what once filled a house, squashed up into boxes and cartons and rolls. Nothing looks like ours.

Nice attention to detail. Little bread "pillow", at La Gañanía, the restaurant in the beautiful #laalmoraima hotel in #castellardelafrontera. Wouldn't fill you up, obviously, as is tiny, but a lovey touch with the hotel #logo. A nice bit of attention to detail. #andalucia #spain
