Issue 2 is live on Nauvoo Supply Co.! I am aware that some issues haven't arrived yet. I'm very frustrated that some appear to have gotten lost. I just shipped off 8 replacements this morning. Will keep you all posted.

In conclusion, follow the prophet and use the handbook when unsure. This isn't the trans issue where we are being asked by people to lie to our senses. In fact, the push from President Nelson was for accuracy and precision. I don't think he was being cute about it.

"But people don't know what that is" One of the cool parts of our culture is as young adults is that we share new volumes of scripture. It should not be a far stretch of the imagination to introduce people to a better descriptive word. "Deseretian" meets all desired needs.

"But funeral potatoes" Assuming we NEED to claim this dish, the word we're looking for is "Utahn." "No cuz it has this cultural implication" "Latter-day Saint cuisine" can work. But it doesn't reflect most of the Church globally, so let's try "Deseretian cuisine" or something.

My opinion re: the word "Mormon" We should do what we are asked to do and not look for excuses to think we know better.
my opinion re: the word “mormon” we have been asked to refer to the Church with its reverent, proper name. but funeral potatoes and many other things are not the Church. (they are “mormon cuisine”, for example)
