WIN (afterschool) buses are expected to be delayed by 15 to 45 minutes this evening (Monday, Nov. 4, 2024), due to traffic delays that are the result of interstate traffic being routed through town.

False fire alarm sounded at East Elementary. A false fire alarm sounded at East Elementary at approximately 10:15 a.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024. The fire department has responded out of an abundance of caution to confirm that there is no smoke and there is no fire.

A fire alarm sounded at Waynesville High School at approximately 5:10 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024. Out of an abundance of caution, firefighters have been called to the school to confirm that there is no fire or smoke.

There will be no school on Monday, Sept. 2, 2024.

Waynesville R-VI will not be using Traversa Ride360 for our transportation app this year, so you may wish to remove it. We are excited about the features our new app will offer; however, it is not yet ready to be implemented. We anticipate that it will be ready in late September!

JROTC presents the Colors at State educators conference. Cadets from Waynesville’s JROTC program helped open the 63rd Annual Cooperative Conference for School Administrators by presenting the Colors at the Lodge of Four Seasons at Lake Ozark, Mo.
