The boys finished 11th at Saturday's D2 state meet, placing first among teams from the Pickerington region. The squad was comprised of seniors Luke Hollis, Brady Spears, and Jack Hangen; juniors Jack Streb, Nathan Monahan, and Jack Spiers; and sophomore Max Kowalski.

🏆 STATE CHAMPIONS 🏆 The girls won the first state championship in program history, edging Hathaway Brown 158-161 in Saturday's D2 race. The team was comprised of Kaitlyn Van Zandt, Karine Bhowmick, Campbell Retzke, Cecilia Keller, Berkley LaCount, Elsa Allen, and Emma Drab.

The boys won their first regional championship in program history, besting New Philadelphia by 39 points. Jack Hangen (fifth overall) was the top individual finisher, followed by Luke Hollis (12th), Brady Spears (13th), Nathan Monahan (37th), and Max Kowalski (51st).

The girls took home their first regional championship in school history by a decisive 53-point margin over Athens. Kaitlyn Van Zandt (second overall) led the way, followed by Karine Bhowmick (10th), Campbell Retzke (13th), Cecilia Keller (19th), and Barkley LaCount (20th).

The varsity girls won their first district title since 1985 Saturday, missing a perfect score by just three points. The Eagles were led by Kaitlyn Van Zandt (first overall), Campbell Retzke (second), Karine Bhowmick (third), Cecilia Keller (fourth), and Elsa Allen (eighth).

The varsity boys took home their second consecutive district title Saturday by a convincing 27-point margin over Dublin Scioto. The Eagles were paced by Jack Hangen (second overall), Luke Hollis (fourth), Brady Spears (fifth), Nathan Monahan (ninth), and Max Kowalski (17th).

The open boys won the CCL championship for the second straight year, claiming the top four individual spots: 1️⃣ Jack Spiers (17:38) 2️⃣ Patrick Monahan (17:52) 3️⃣ Eli Hiss (17:56) 4️⃣ Connor O'Leary (18:16) Eric Hirsch (18:47) rounded out the scoring with an 11th-place finish.

The varsity girls easily won the league title, earning the first perfect score in a CCL Championship since 1985: 1️⃣ Kaitlyn Van Zandt 2️⃣ Campbell Retzke 3️⃣ Karine Bhowmick 4️⃣ Cecilia Keller 5️⃣ Berkley LaCount The top four all broke the previous course record by over one minute.

The varsity boys won their first CCL team title since 2019 by a decisive 21-point margin over Hartley. Jack Hangen claimed the individual title in 15:45. He was followed in the scoring by Luke Hollis (3rd), Brady Spears (4th), Collin Ritter (10th), and Nathan Monahan (11th).

Our top seven runners sat out, giving other boys some valuable varsity experience at Saturday's Eisenhart Invitational. Jack Spiers led the way in 17:25 (PR), followed by Patrick Monahan in 17:41, Eli Hiss in 18:07, Connor O'Leary in 18:38 (PR), and Eric Hirsch in 19:10.

Even with seven of our top nine sitting out, the girls placed fifth out of 17 teams at Saturday's Eisenhart Invitational. Elsa Allen (19:25) was our top finisher, followed by Berkley LaCount (19:53), Alaina Fisher (20:14), Sam Schmiesing (20:22), and Hadley Schilling (20:43).

Despite the absence of Jack Hangen, the boys still finished second in the Double Blue race at the Berlin Bear Den Dash. Brady Spears was our top perfomer, placing third overall with a time of 16:30. Next up were Nathan Monahan, Max Kowalski, Collin Ritter, and Luke Hollis.

Senior Jack Hangen competed as an individual in a fast Bear Race at the Berlin Bear Den Dash, placing 13th overall with a time of 15:43. Jack now owns four of the eight fastest 5K times in school history.

The girls narrowly missed a team title in a stacked Bear Race at the Berlin Bear Den Dash, falling by one point to Avon. Kaitlyn Van Zandt led the way, lowering her school record to 18:03. She was followed by Karine Bhowmick, Campbell Retzke, Cecilia Keller, and Emma Drab.

With two meets this week, we're using a split-squad approach. Yesterday, our boys took home a 2nd-place trophy from the Monda Classic at Whetstone. Connor O'Leary (10th overall) led the way, followed by Eric Hirsch (13th), Sebastian Lovely (17th), and Dalton King (21st).
