💙💛 Memorial Service Donations 💛💙. Thank you to all who gave so generously at our Service of Remembrance and Hope back in December. The totals are in and we raised a grand total of £770.87 for Marie Curie, helping to support the incredible work they do.

Our Annual Service of Remembrance and Hope will take place at @derbycathedral 6.30pm tonight. Everyone is welcome to remember loved ones at Christmas. Donations from the service will go towards Marie Curie UK who provides incredible care and support for many of our families.

This year’s Annual Celebration of Remembrance and Hope will be held @DerbyCathedral on Thurs 14 Dec at 6.30pm. The Service is an opportunity for people of all faiths, or no faith, to remember their loved ones and draw on the calm positivity that runs through this service.

We work closely with @Artstonememori1 to offer graveside memorials and services. Art Stone is a local stonemason specialising in designing, creating and installing new memorials, adding inscriptions, and renovating and cleaning existing memorials.

One of the first commodities that was rationed during WWII was petrol. This helped preserve precious reserves to be used during the war effort. We found Wathall’s ration book from 1942 and a document from 1949 describing how we used petrol during this impossibly difficult time.

Choosing a memorial is a very personal decision whether a headstone for a churchyard or vase for a cremation plot. We work closely with local stonemason @ArtstoneMemori1 who specialise in designing, creating and installing memorials.
