Here's the thing, Auston Matthews is THE best 5 on 5 goal scorer in the NHL since his first NHL game in 2016'. Why try to drastically change him into a Philip Danault type centre? Let him score. Put him with players that can help him score.
Over the last two seasons, Matthews-Domi together have controlled:. 60% of the shot attempts.67% of the expected goals.71% of the high-danger chances.63% of the goals . A healthy Matthews is more than capable of absolutely tilting the ice with a lesser talent by his side.

Given the returns on trades this summer, why even bother adding at the deadline? Laughton is worth like a 2nd rounder in the summer, 1st+prospect at the deadline. People are mentioning Kadri. You better get him this summer or don't bother.

You know, Edna loves Buffalo as a hockey market. They actually watched the finals more than people in Florida did and they haven't seen the playoffs in 15 years. A true, passionate, knowledgeable fanbase that deserves better.

Cinakhov got 15:43 per game this year. You give Robertson that and he's a lock for 20-25 goals. His career high is 12:00 exactly.

BTW it's funny he's being suggested to go to the Leafs. Nick Robertson has more impressive numbers (Chinakhov gets the TOI Robertson should be getting). The other guy is always so much better. .
#CBJ aware Yegor Chinakhov wants to be traded — and they've had trade talks — but GM Don Waddell said he's not going to simply accept the best offer to appease Chinakhov. Will only move him if he gets an acceptable offer. Expectation is he'll be at training camp. Story coming.
