(2/2) for help was made. Our athletic trainer, the St. Peter athletic trainer, and a Good Samaritan gave coach the treatment needed to save his life. Please take a moment to hug your loved ones and reflect on how fragile our time here really is.
Yesterday, we lost a true Bluejay in Mr. Bendix. John came to Waseca in 1958 as a Social Studies teacher and taught at WHS for 50 years. He also coached Boys Basketball and Track here. Multiple generations of Jays were impacted by this kind, caring, intelligent, and beloved man.
This is what being a student-athlete is all about! Waseca’s Blake Wendland participating in a wrestling tournament and Science Olympiad regionals on the same day and location!
