We loved the Christmas feel to our Walk and Talk yesterday and enjoyed a cuppa afterwards in our Pause community listening space. Our next Walk and Talk takes places on Thursday 11th December. Meet outside the Golden Gates at 2.30pm. We would love for you to join us.

Join us for our BPD Peer Support Group drop in at the Gateway every Friday from 1.30pm to 3pm. The group is for people who have been diagnosed with BPD or are in the process of receiving a diagnosis. We also welcome carers, family members and friends. #BPD #BPDAwareness

There was lots of discussion about how we can change our lifestyles to help to reduce cancer and the importance of screening. Everyone agreed that being part of this project has been a very positive experience. 😊

Today, the group had a visit from Nancy and Helen from the Cancer Alliance Project. The group shared their work and how this project has helped to increase their confidence when talking about cancer.

What a wonderful turnout we have for our Women's Wellbeing Walk on Friday! It was a beautiful walk and nice to get back to the Maltings for a hot drink to warm us up afterwards. Our next Women's Wellbeing Walk is on Friday 5th Dec, 10am meet at the Maltings, Sankey Valley Park.

Yesterday was the last day of our Any 1 Of Us mental well-being course. Ryan, Em, Karen and Caroline have enjoyed working in the group, looking at ways to care for our mental health and well-being. Naomi supported them throughout the course and presented their certificates 😊

Today our Speak Up 4 All group were joined by Neil at @YourLiveWire and everyone had a mini ECG. 🩺❤️ There was a great discussion about looking after our hearts, and people shared their experiences and ideas with the group.

Our next Walk & Talk will be tomorrow, Thursday 13th November, meeting at 2:30pm outside the Golden Gates, Bank Park. All are welcome to join us on a casual walk through Bank Park and then back to the PAUSE listening space in The Gateway for a cuppa. 🫖

This week our SADA (South Asian Dementia Awareness) group listened to Dipak talk about Diwali followed by a fun quiz about Bonfire night! Our next SADA group is on Tues 18th November, 11am - 1pm at the Whittle Hall Community Centre for those living with Dementia and their carers.
