The costs of war are high – on life, livelihoods, and communities. Last week, 115 girls aged 7-12 were killed when bombs fell at the Shajareh Tayyebeh school in southern Iran. Escalation is a political choice – the UK government must uphold international law and push for peace.

International law is meant to stop moments like this: illegal and unprovoked US and Israeli attacks on Iran. Our international laws were written in the aftermath of WWII by people who understood that international law exists to protect people.
