'Paranormal Warwickshire' by SC Skillman. Another of my go-to books for local #ghosts. Good for more modern sightings as well as historical ones. Also contains a fair amount of detail about the various locations, so can double up as a useful tour guide. #books #paranormal

On moonlit nights a white lady upon a white horse rides across the parklands surrounding Ragley Hall near Alcester. When she and her steed reach a certain oak tree they both vanish. #ghosts

This month of saint lore ends with St Ecgwyn’s visit to Alcester where even on a Sunday the town’s blacksmiths refused to stop working. So, after his sermons were drowned out by the sound of hammers on anvils, the saint cursed the smiths and gave them all tails.
