In the 1950s tinnitus was occasionally treated with frontal lobotomy. Ménière's was the most common cause of tinnitus in a cohort of 20 patients: 1 died, 8 reported improvement, and 11 reported tinnitus was the same, but bothered them less #histmed #HistoryInMénièresDisease
