Ukrainian SBU's 'Ivan Franko Group' confirmed unit redeployments, as we reported, and thwarted a mechanized assault in the Dobropillia direction, likely linked to these transfers.

Lastly, the 70th Motor Rifle Division (18th Army) is currently transferring from Kherson to Bakhmut due to 'urgent reinforcement needs.'.Their task may involve increasing pressure on either Kostiantynivka or Siversk.

Airborne forces - most likely the 11th VDV Brigade and elements of the 76th VDV Division - were also spotted nearby after urgent transfers to 'the hottest direction.'.Their exact axis of attack remains unclear.

The 155th and 40th Marine Brigades are already in Donetsk, with the 177th Regiment likely in tow. Their most probable attack vector is toward Dobropillya - Druzhkivka.

14. Petrivka, 17.08. The unit of the 6 POWs (plus a 7th shown here) in tweet 5, 10 & 13 is here established as the🇷🇺114th Motor Rifle Bde. Its interesting that this unit was also pushed into the tip of the 'rabbit ears'. To my knowledge the 114th were previously SW of Pokrovsk.

Drobropillya-Myrnohrad.Over several months the 51st CAA redeployed almost all their units here. While 1st, 5th, 9th, 110th MRB etc are pushing toward Rodynske-Myrnohrad, the 132nd rapidly advanced far east of Drobropillya

🇷🇺Pokrovsk-Kostiantynivka ORBAT.The recent battles were shaped by three key aspects:.1. Forming of infiltration groups south of Pokrovsk in the 2nd CAA AO.2. Gradual redeployment of 51st CAA Units towards Rodyns'ke.3. Heavy fighting along Popiv Yar-Katerynivka line by the 8th CAA

Sometimes, mapping units isn’t as straightforward as it seems. Here’s how Ukraine’s veteran 79th Air Assault Brigade rushed to counterattack near Dobropillya .and what the Donetsk-Dnipropetrovsk border village of Horikhove and the 42nd Mech Brigade have to do with it: ⬇️

Kostiantynivka. This area sees continuous & constant pressure by the entire 68th Army Corps and 8th CAA, with occasional mechanized assaults and heavy fighting for villages like Katerynivka, Yablunivka & Rusyn Yar

South-East Pokrovsk.Despite the occasional attacks by 41st CAA units, outside of the 35th MRB, the 137th & 55th Brigades and other units are likely conserving forces for now.

South-Pokrovsk:.Spetsnaz trained Infiltration groups along with 506th's "Typhoon" assault unit & the 35th MRB managed to move deep into the city attempting to destabilize the defense. The 15th MRB continues pressing the Udachne-Kotlyne line.

The Ukrainian 3rd Army Corps (3AK), based on the infamous 3rd Assault Brigade, revealed part of its subordinate Brigades last week. Their sector is the Izyum axis and, as was previously reported by Ukrainian press, they replaced Tactical Group "Kreminna" in June.

The most critical part of 3AK's sector is the area held by the 60th and 66th Brigades - the northern Lyman axis. These brigades have had limited rotations in the past year, so it remains to be seen whether 3AK can stabilize the situation and slow down the recent Russian advances.
